A few years ago, my family watched the entire Lord of the Rings film trilogy over Christmas break (extended editions, OF COURSE).
It was great, and to my delight, it left a deep impression on my kids.
It just felt like perfect Christmas viewing.
Which is odd, because The Lord of the Rings has nothing to do with Christmas…

If Amazon Prime has the rights to The Lord of the Rings, and the Appendices, they should be doing the history of Gondor, the Last Alliance of the of Elves and Men, the Dunedain, Aragorn, and what lead to the line of the kings of Gondor being broken.

Hi, I am fifteen years old, homeschooled, and live in Lebanon, TN. I love your podcast and am currently binge listening to all of your episodes. I am on the 80th one. I love Tolkien and always like to expand the knowledge that comes along with it. Thank you so much for doing this! Oh, and by the way, there is a new Tolkien book out called, The Nature of Middle Earth. I read it in four days. It was great and has a lot of backstory into the times and people of Tolkien’s world. I would love it if you would do an episode on it. Once more thanks for an amazing podcast! Yours’ was the first one that I ever listened to and I am going to stick with it!
