TOLKIEN VS. TIME COMPRESSION

from Letter 210

“I fail to see why the time-scheme should be deliberately contracted. [. . .] I cannot see why definite time-statements, contrary to the book and to probability, should be made.”

One Response

  1. I believe I have said this already, but I will restate it for all concerned: Middle Earth meets Elfhunter fan-fiction! The more I hear about this series the more it sounds like a cross between fan-fiction and the Tales of Altera/Elfhunter trilogy by Chris Marks. She now has written a whole series of these books, it is very much a part of the imitation spin-off fantasy genre. I am not interested in fan-fiction since it is all really bad; the stories people put out on the internet are shocking. But let us be grateful that this is not That kind of story, so far.
